Elder Noah Goo: Taiwan Tapei Mission, September 2020 to September 2022

 大家好! I got my reassignment this week! I'll be going to the Colorado Denver  North Mission on December 2nd. There's a couple other missionaries from my district going there and I'm super excited. I still hope I get to go to  Taiwan relatively quickly. I'm starting to get together all my luggage and finish up some stuff and it makes it feel a lot more real haha. I know I  still have a while but I can't believe I finished my 5th week and am now past the halfway mark. The weeks have gone by so fast but at the same time, each day seems really slow. I've been a missionary for a full month now which seems like forever. I'm doing good though and I keep learning and growing every day. This week I focused a lot more on my daily planning because I felt like I was kind of struggling with it. Instead of setting aside just general blocks of time, I decided to plan smaller increments of time with specific things to do and goals. This turned out to help me so much more and

 大家好! I'm sorry I forgot to write last week, I didn't have any time on my P-day. Thank you to all who came to my farewell or watched it online! It was good to see you all. It's been a good couple weeks and I can't believe I'm almost halfway done with MTC (I just finished week 4). We took a language assessment this week and I realized that even though I'm memorizing tons of words, I struggle a lot at creating sentences quickly and sounding more fluid. My goal now is to practice creating sentences as I learn new words so hopefully, I can improve overall. We've been doing a lot of practice teaching basic lessons in Chinese. I feel like me and my companion have a pretty good flow between the two of us so it's been pretty good so far even though we can't go deeper into most subjects. We've had a lot of problems with TRCs though haha. We had signed up for one this past Tuesday but we never got the email with the link or bio so we never got to do it. Th

 大家好! Wow, this week went by fast. I feel like I've been in the MTC for forever but it's really only been a little more than a week. I'm still getting used to the schedule though haha. It's definitely a struggle to wake up at 6:30 every day for me but I'm getting there. It's kinda nice when you can take naps in the morning haha. I still wish I could've gone to the Provo MTC but being at home has allowed me to spend more time with my family and I'm grateful for that. Class has been fun though and we've been learning so much about the Gospel in Chinese and English. I can definitely see the Gift of Tongues helping me to learn Mandarin but I'm still far from being fluent haha. I've been trying to memorize at least 30 new words a day, do my stuff on Embark, and memorize My Purpose, the First Vision, and Moroni 10:3-5 all in Chinese. It's nice having a lot of time for Language Study and my ability to quickly memorize stuff has helped a lot but
